(WTNH)- The 'Santa Claus Rally' is a run-up in the stock market that usually happens now, the last week in December and  the first two trading days of January.

Financial Consultant John Caserta came to Good Morning Connecticut  to explain what's beyond the phenomenon and how this impacts you and your money.

Caserta says the reason behind this could be market sentiment, general optimism and year end bonuses. He also said there is uncertainty with what actually happens within the last couple months and what is to come. People also sell their loser stocks and buy stocks that are doing better.

For advice from Caserta on what you should be doing with your money, you can watch the video above.
